How to Configure "Posteo" for Third-Party Applications


Posteo provides secure IMAP and SMTP connections for use with third-party apps like Regzion. You can use your Posteo email directly with Regzion by following the configuration steps below:

Step 1: Enable IMAP in Posteo

1 ) Log into your Posteo account at posteo.de.

2 ) Navigate to Settings > POP/IMAP.

3 ) Ensure IMAP and SMTP access are both enabled for third-party apps login.

Step 2: IMAP/SMTP Server Details

Posteo supports encrypted mail connections using the following standard mail server settings:

  • IMAP Server: posteo.de
  • IMAP Port: 993
  • Encryption: SSL/TLS
  • SMTP Server: posteo.de
  • SMTP Port: 587
  • Encryption: STARTTLS

Step 3: Enter Details in Regzion

Use the following credentials in Regzion for Posteo Mail login for backup or migration:

  • Username: Your full Posteo email (e.g., yourname@posteo.net)
  • Password: Your Posteo account password
  • IMAP Server: posteo.de
  • IMAP Port: 993
